If we wanted to start living in Australia for a year we needed a visa. We chose for the working holiday visa because that visa allowed us to stay in Oz for 1 year, working and traveling. We were only allowed to work 6 months for the same employer, and if we did 3 months of farm work we could apply for a second working holiday visa. Getting the visa was quite easy (depending on where you are from): we applied and had it the next morning. From the moment that it is approved you have one year to go to Australia and you can stay for 1 year from the moment of entering. During our first year in Australia, we traveled a lot, but also did all kinds of different jobs. We especially looked for farm work, just in case if we wanted to stay another year. There is a harvesting line that you can call and they can set you up with farm work. Many backpackers do this though, which made it a bit harder to find a job, so we had to call every day for opportunities coming up. Fortunately, we found a few farm jobs in order to get our three months signed off. We picked raspberries, tomatoes, apples, and grapes and we also worked in a packaging shed. Some jobs were terrible, like the tomatoes. After half a day we earned 30 dollars each… Of course we didn’t stick with this shitty job. Another experience was working on a remote farm in the outback of Queensland. It was a nice place, the facilities were great but you could notice how unsocial the farmers were, just not used to people. We hated to work for them, but we were running out of time for our farm work so we had to…

Home of the kangaroos and koalas and other various dangerous animals. Such a big country for those who love seeing different things during the year without even leaving the place. Helicopter rides to see the massive lands of nature and big farms that make Australia what it is.

This country is just AMAZING! It has it all 🙌🏽 Beautiful people, places worthy of postcards, big cities and a gigantic country side! Great Barrier Reefs, animals you have only seen in a zoo, mountains and waterfalls! This place is so beautiful and has it all 😍 From North to South, east coast: Cairns, Whitsunday Islands, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Island, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Sydney, Melbourne and then in the centre, Uluru and in the west coast, Perth 🙌🏽

Biased as an Aussie, but there is so much to do and see. Great cities for sure, but the sun drenched coast of Queensland, wines in WA and the rugged mountains in Tasmania also shouldn't be missed.

What holds me back from going to the beauitful place is the 2 day travel period there and back, I have not been able to convince myself to travel that far yet.

Its vastness is enthralling, giving a real sense of adventure and solitude to those who explore off the beaten track. Then theres the coastal cities, embodying the outdoor lifestyle of Australia with some of the best beaches on offer. Oh, and need I say the great barrier reef is breath taking.

The beaches, the laid-back vibes, the outback, the lush rainforests. If you love nature and hiking, roadtrips and kangaroos, Australia should be at the top of your list.

By far one of the most beautiful countries that I have lived in. The laid back culture, the amazing weather, and the tourist hotspots makes Australia an amazing place to visit or live!

Australia is another world. You don'tneed to go into the desert to understand it: you just need a city like Sydney, where exotic birds will walk at your feet, singing melodies never heard before.
